Unlike upright vacuums, canister vacuums have wands that are attached to the main unit via a hose. The main vacuum is then pulled behind the hose. Canister vacuums are often more powerful than upright vacuums and can be lighter and easier to maneuver. Hoover offers several different canister vacuums, with some that use bags and some that are bagless. In general, Hoover’s canister vacuums are lightweight but still powerful. Some models combine a canister and upright vacuum into one unit while many have telescoping wands that make it easy to clean curtains and blinds. Several are also noted to be quiet for a vacuum.
