Amazon’s ‘Toys We Love’ list nails holiday toy shopping for you

Amazon’s Kids Gifts List is filled with great picks

As a cool, fun, childless aunt, shopping for my nieces and nephews is one of my favorite parts of the holidays. I get to put my child-free disposable income to good use and spoil the heck out of a bunch of kiddos I love, and whatever obnoxious, battery-powered noise machines I buy for them aren't going to live at my house, so there are no consequences to consider (except the lifelong ire of my siblings, but that just comes with the territory). The hard part is, of course, having no idea what kids are into. And if you think their parents are going to be any help? Ha! Think again. They're still too mad at me about last year's obnoxious, battery-powered noise machines to offer any holiday assistance.

Enter: Amazon's Kids Gift List. First, the reigning king (queen?) of two-day shipping offers this handy landing page, where toys are organized by interest, age range, TV and movie characters and more helpful categories. If you have even a basic level of knowledge about the kids you're shopping for, this is like a flowchart that will land you on some solid gift ideas. Then, Amazon goes a step further and curates it all into the "Toys We Love" list, where all the top-selling gifts end up. This is like the Black Friday toy aisle, where you can go if you just want to feel some FOMO and get into a virtual duke-out over any of the toys that are guaranteed to be impossible to find come mid-November-ish. If you're like me and highly motivated by a desire to be the favorite aunt, this is where you want to do your shopping.
