This affordable copy of the legendary Hermès Birkin bag took social media by storm by offering a slice of luxury at a fraction of the price. The Birkin is infamous for its absolutely unattainable cost and exclusivity — they sell at auction for hundreds of thousands of dollars, and they're known for dangling off the arms of celebrities like the Kardashians. But the Wirkin, a wallet-friendly lookalike from Walmart that quickly went viral, sparked a frenzy among bargain hunters and fashion enthusiasts alike.

People were drawn to the Wirkin because of how convincing it was — it actually looked a lot like a real Birkin bag, just without the astronomical price tag or the hoops required to jump through to purchase an authentic piece from a Hermès store. Ironically, though, the ensuing frenzy to get one caused Walmart to take down the Wirkin listing, which has made the knock-off exclusive in its own right. Luckily, though, there are some look-alikes.
